Cathedral Woods, now called Cathedral Pines, is a publicly accessible Wisconsin State Natural Area within the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. In 1911, Lucy Holt set aside 40 acres to conserve this unique stand of old-growth pine-hemlock forest.

Townsend, WI offers miles of scenic off-road vehicle trails, as well as excellent hiking and biking paths through the forest. In winter, the area is popular for ice fishing and snowmobiling, making it a year-round outdoor recreation destination.

Visit Oughton Park for public swimming and enjoy occasional concerts or festivals throughout the season. Veterans Memorial Park is perfect for a ball game, and kids will love the playground equipment available for all-day fun.
