Boot Lake Beach is situated on the shores of a scenic 263-acre lake, serving as a popular summer destination. The area features a beautiful natural sand beach ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Please note that a parking fee applies for day use of the beach, and for the safety of all visitors, pets, with the exception of guide dogs, are not permitted in designated swimming areas.
Fishing is a prominent activity on Boot Lake, which is home to walleye, northern pike, bass, musky, and panfish. Additionally, several nearby streams offer excellent trout fishing opportunities, and the Wolf River provides options for fishing, rafting, and first-class canoeing.
For boating enthusiasts, a paved boat ramp with a dock and parking for up to 10 vehicles is available at the Boot Lake Recreation Area. A $5 recreation use fee applies for the boat landing, which is waived for registered campers. This seepage lake has a depth of 38 feet. Non-motorized water activities such as canoeing, kayaking, paddling, and windsurfing are also popular on Boot Lake. Due to its popularity, the campground and beach area generally experience heavy use throughout the summer.
