The Town of Doty is known for its vast pristine forests and streams. Located only 70 minutes from Green Bay or Wausau it features two of the best Forest Service campgrounds (Boot and Boulder Lake) in all of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest as well as over a dozen remote primitive campsites located on lakes and streams. Doty also has several full-service campgrounds and recreation areas.
A year-round destination, featuring year-round ATV/UTV trails and road routes. Winter brings ice fishing, dog sled races and snowmobiling on the many trails. Spring sees fishing on several class 1 trout streams and on many lakes spread throughout the town. In summer, three lakes with boat landings offer motorboating and other recreational water fun. Several other lakes are solely for silent water sports with walk-in landings, ideal for kayaks or canoes. Brilliant fall colors are visible around the town and great views are visible from the old Archibald fire tower site. Deer, bear and other animals abound for hunters to test their skills hunting.
